How we check prices and perks

PerkShift checks 207 providers: phone carriers, credit cards, streaming, memberships and more. The last full check was October 9, 2026. Here's how each figure gets in, and how we count your savings.

Where the figures come from

  • Every price and perk is read from the provider's own website: its plans and pricing pages, and its help pages.
  • Other websites, reviews and forums can point us to a change, but they never decide what goes in. Only the provider's own page can.
  • Each saving shows the site it came from and the date it was checked, so you can look for yourself.

How a price gets in

  • An automated checker reads each provider's pages and records the plans, prices and perks it finds.
  • A change goes in only when two separate readings agree. One reading on its own is never enough.
  • New providers and changes to a provider's list of plans are reviewed by a person before they appear.
  • Perks are looked after by hand: which plans they come with, what they're worth and any conditions.

How old a figure can be

  • Prices change, so every figure carries the date it was last checked.
  • Every week, each provider's own pricing page is compared with the week before. A page whose prices changed is queued for a fresh check.
  • Anything checked more than 60 days ago is marked "may be out of date". It's never hidden.
  • When you come back, PerkShift tells you which of your prices changed since your last visit.

Plans that are no longer sold

  • Many people stay on a plan after it's withdrawn, like T-Mobile's Go5G Plus. PerkShift lists those as older plans.
  • Their details come from saved copies of the provider's own pages (the Internet Archive), with the date they were last listed.
  • If we couldn't confirm everything an older plan includes, its perks are shown as "possible" with what to check on your bill.

How savings are counted

  • "You can save" only counts savings you qualify for with what you already have.
  • Savings that depend on something we don't know, like your exact plan, are shown separately as "possible".
  • What you already get through your plans and perks you aren't using are shown, but never added to that total.
  • Credit card points are kept apart from cash savings.

How savings are ranked

  • Biggest saving first. Nothing else changes the order.
  • PerkShift earns no commissions today. If that changes, it will say so next to the link, and it will never change which savings you see or their order.

What stays on your device

  • Your list (phone plan, cards and subscriptions) is kept in your browser. There's no account and no bank login.
  • A shared link carries your list inside the link itself; our server never receives it.
  • PerkShift doesn't use tracking or advertising tools, and its fonts and images are served from its own site.

Prices can change at any time. Check with the provider before you buy, cancel or switch. See every provider we check.
